My current research focus is the effect of nanoplastics exposure on atherosclerosis and metabolic disorders

I am passionate about understanding how key cellular enzymes (like RNase P/MRP) act as master regulators to control when and how a cell decides to 'pause' its growth and enter a reversible dormant state.

Ben's research focuses on assessing the fate, transport, and mechanistic controls driving inadvertent geogenic metals (arsenic, manganese, iron, etc.) solubilization during managed aquifer recharge and  understanding how these processes impact groundwater quality, and are affected by alternating oxic-anoxic (dry-wet) cycling during infiltration and carbon availability.

My research focuses on how RNA splicing regulates genes involved in neuronal longevity and survival.
