Research Focus

Wei Lucy Li is a first year graduate student in the Environmental Toxicology program at UC Riverside. Her research is focused on studying the toxicity of oxidation byproducts formed through the wastewater treatments. She is currently working with Dr. Haizhou Liu to advance her knowledge in developing a novel oxidation method, and study the genotoxicity and cytotoxicity of the byproducts to fish and human cells. As an IGERT fellow, her long-term career goal is to work in industrial or national laboratory to develop an environmental friendly water purification strategy that will reduce stress on clean water resources.
